    Our 95% Purity Whole Organic Psyllium Husks, also known as isabgol or just psyllium are the husks from the seeds of the Plantago Ovata plant. Psyllium husk is an excellent source of soluble fibre.

    Psyllium husk is soluble in water making it gel like when wet and and therefore an excellent binding agent for baking. It absorbs liquid very easily and can swell to up to ten times its dry size – this also makes it a great thickening agent in dishes such as soups or stews.


    Add to your favourite juices and smoothies or simply mix with water.  Psyllium husk is an excellent binding agent in baking, therefore an excellent replacement for eggs, see our recipe page for our Muesli bread recipe. Alternatively add a little to your porridge or yoghurt.
